It’s Sunflower season in Durham and the fields are just starting to bloom! With 5 sunflower farms to choose from it’s hard to decide on which is best for you. Whether you are into large scale agriculture experiences or pick your own sunflower adventures, we are sure you love learning about the 5 sunflower fields to visit in Durham Region in 2026!
1. Bragg Farms – No picking
Family owned and operated since 1843, this 8 Generation Farm has been growing sunflowers since 1991! Opening to the community in 2020, they have 3 blooming fields to enjoy complete with antique props and winding paths perfect for all your photo captures. Famous for their “Sweet Brie Lemonade”, we loved the creative arial view sunflower heads designs carved in their 200 acres organic fields blooming until approx. mid August. (weather dependent). Dog friendly on leash, their additional optional activities include yoga, paint nights, pilates line dancing and early and late by appointment access to the fields (popular for Indigo Bunting, Nature Photography and sunset Portrait Sessions).

2. B’More Farm – Sunflower Maze – No picking
This 100% organic and Instagram worthy Sunflower Farm, B’More Farm is dedicated exclusively to sunflowers opening only for the sunflower season with season passes available! Amidst their 200,000 blooms, you’ll find a large variety of creative photo opts like swings, tractor, sun bathtub and more! As you wander through their sunflower maze enjoy the sounds of songbirds like the Indigo Bunting and there are shortcuts for those wanting opt out early. Designed with family in mind there are lawn games, a dance floor and sandbox for your little ones. We also loved their “Bloom Soda” which is a refreshing and picture perfect way to beat the heat or enjoying it with some friendly chickens which were cool to see them up close.

3. The Sunflower Farm – No picking
A whimsical farm full of tons of cute photo opts, we loved their custom-cut, sunflower-shaped walking trail (arial view). This 20 acres pet-friendly space has 2 fields with over 400,000 blooming sunflowers! The antique trucks and sunflower overlook were our favs and we especially loved the long sunflower trail through the field showcasing how vast their sunflower fields grow. Additional events include floral workshops, line dancing and sunset photography!

4. Cooper’s CSA Farm – Pick Your Own! (Opening soon)
If you’re looking for a pick your own sunflower farm experience, then budget friendly Cooper’s CSA Farm is the choice for you! Famous for their giant fall corn maze, this smaller operation farm has photo ops to enjoy as you pick your own perfect sunflower bouquet! For those wondering yes, tools are included and they sell mason jars and other containers to take your sunflowers home in. (Bring your own containers are welcome too).
